Let Your Light Shine Online | Faith-Based Business Encouragement

June 23, 20253 min read

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Can we talk about something that’s been sitting on my heart?

I was reading Matthew 5:16 again recently, words I’ve read a hundred times, maybe more. But this time, it hit different. I paused on it. Sat with it. Prayed through it. And what kept coming back to me was this:

What if this isn’t just a beautiful encouragement…
What if it’s a strategy?

Not a social strategy.
Not a brand strategy.
A Kingdom strategy for how we show up online.

Your “Light” is Your Story

That light is the testimony of what God has done in your life.
The breakthroughs. The rock-bottom moments. The healing. The redemption. The quiet wins and the loud ones. Even the unfinished chapters.

That’s what makes you relatable. That’s what makes you real. That’s what shines.

Your “Good Works” Are Your Assignment

Your good works are the fruit of walking closely with God in the everyday parts of your business.

  • When you serve others with love? That’s a good work.

  • When you build what He put on your heart even when no one claps? That’s a good work.

  • When you choose integrity over algorithms? Still a good work.

The “Glory” Isn’t Ours to Keep

Everything we do, every strategy, every offer, every client served... should point back to Him.

We weren’t created to hustle for validation.
We were created to reflect the light of the One who called us.

Building a Presence Is About Faithfulness, Not Fame

There are a lot of voices online telling you to be more polished, more consistent, more everything.

But all the strategy in the world doesn’t mean a thing if it’s disconnected from your calling.

God doesn’t need you to go viral.
He needs you to be faithful.

So If You’ve Ever Wondered…

  • “How do I show up online without feeling fake?”

  • “Is what I’m doing even making a difference?”

  • “Is it worth it to keep going when I feel invisible?”

Matthew 5:16 might be your answer.

It’s not about perfection.
It’s about light, works, and glory.

Final Thoughts

Let your light shine.
Do the work He’s placed in your hands.
And give Him the glory for all of it.

Because someone out there needs what only you carry.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to be willing.

Your Turn to Reflect

  • What does it look like for you to let your light shine online?

  • What story or transformation have you been holding back?

  • What “good work” are you being called to do, even if no one sees it yet?

Pray through it. Journal on it. Ask God to show you the next step and then take it, even if it’s small.

Because light spreads.
And your light?
It matters more than you know.
